WEB CHAIR
DESCRIPTION
Friends Junior Committee (FJC) is one of the Community Friends volunteer groups of
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. We are a group of young professionals that support Children's Healthcare of Atlanta through fundraising, volunteer service and social networking.
The Web Chair would:
- Develop the interface between the front and back end of the FJC site
- Implement enhanced features, such as an area for photos and interactive calendar
- Help streamline HTML newsletter
- Create and maintain event specific sites
- Coordinate with the Marketing Chair on the FJC board for short- and long-term goals
- Manage vice-chairs to meet FJC initiatives
- Become a member of FJC (Minimal: $35 basic annual membership)
- Sit on Friends Junior Committee (FJC) executive board
- Attend at least 80% of board meetings and socials
- Attend and support key fundraisers- Party Atlanta & Cheers for Children
- Update website at least once a month
SKILLS
- Experience with databases (mysql), PHP/perl/cgi, and other web development experiences
- Have a test system for development (LAMP would be ideal)
- Reliable work ethic
- Ability to work approximately 5 hrs a week on average
Ability to commit for two years
